The WC battery, cell phone, ink cartridge and laser cartridge competition is back! We hope that this year we will continue to collect many of these items to keep them from going to landfills. Keep bringing in those items to make your home room the winner and keep our Earth clean.

Every day we throw out items which will never break down in a landfill. In light of this the WC Environmental Committee has partnered with a US based company called Funding Factory. Every Wednesday we collect batteries, old cell-phones, and printer cartridges from every class in the school. We then give out points to the homerooms based on what they bring. At the end of the year the homeroom with the most points will receive a prize. After collecting the items we ship it to Funding Factory. They recycle and/or reuse items. They also give us points which we can use toward school supplies or redeem for cash. This project benefits all parties; us, the school, our business partners, and the environment.
